Rice Applied Genomics Center

The Rice Applied Genomics Research Unit is one of the applied research divisions within the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences (NIAS). Our role is to promote multifaceted research projects aimed at “enhancement and utilization of rice germplasm potential based on genomics approaches”. We are currently focusing on the genetic and molecular basis of quantitative traits in rice, based on a decade of rice genome research. Current activities are listed below.
