On Apr.12, 2013, Director Dr. Peeradet Tongumpai and nine other officials from the Agricultural Research Development Agency of Thailand, along with three officials from the Rice Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, paid a visit to the NARO Institute of Crop Science (NICS).
NICS Director General Dr. Koh-ichi Kaodowaki gave an overview of the research projects of the institute, followed by Director Dr. Nemoto of the Rice Research Division, who summarized Japanese rice breeding. They also discussed on rice breeding and distribution of new cultivars.
