We are breeding high yielding and high quality hydroponic tomatoes, high quality disease resistant eggplants, and disease resistant Capsicum peppers for farmers, consumers and end users.
Although our approach is mainly based on cross breeding, we are utilizing DNA marker information to facilitate accurate and efficient breeding. Newly developed varieties are registered and licensed to private seed companies for distribution. On the other hand, we are also collecting Solanaceous vegetable genetic resources available both nationally and internationally, evaluating their characters and propagating seeds for the expansion of gene pool as breeding materials in the future.
