16. Structure and function of retrovirus genes integrated in the mouse genome

  Many copies of retroviral DNA are present in genomes of virtually all species of vertebrates. We revealed that one of the retroviral copies in the mouse genome has the ability to suppress production or spread of infectious retroviruses of the same virus group.
