MOU signed between NARO and Hokkaido University

- Towards the revitalization of regional agriculture and rural areas -

The National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) and Hokkaido University concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 13 (Tue), 2018 aimed at promoting collaboration towards the revitalization of regional agriculture and rural areas in Japan. The MOU was signed by NARO President, Dr. Tokio Imbe and Hokkaido University President, Dr. Toyoharu Nawa at a ceremony held in Sapporo, Hokkaido on March 13, 2018. In line with the challenges facing agriculture in the rural areas, the major thrust of the MOU is for the promotion of collaborative research, dissemination of research results, human resource development and personnel exchange, mutual utilization of research facilities and research facilities, sharing information and mutual communication etc. Effective period of the MOU is from March 13, 2018 to March 31, 2021.
