Pyrenophora bromi (Died.) Drechsler [=Drechslera bromi (Died.) Shoem.]
 Classification: Ascomycota, Locuoascomycetes, Dothideales, Pleosporaceae

Distributed in Hokkaido, the most northern Ditr. Causes leaf spot in bromegrass. Disperses by scattering conidia. Teleomorph hardly observed in nature.

Morphology:
 Teleomorph: Producing cylindrical asci in black perithcia, ascopores of hyaline to yellowish brown, oblong, 48-72 x 14-23 um in size with septa 1-2 vertical and 3 transverse in ascus.
 Anamorph: Conidiophores yellowish brown. Producing conidia of subhyaline to pale yellowish brown, cylindrical, a little tapering towards the base, 100-250 x 14-26 um with 4-8 pseudosepta.
