 Classification: Basidiomycota, Urediniomycetes, Uredinales, Pucciniaceae

 Distributed south from Kanto, the central part of Japan. Causes rust of the Sorghum plants, producing uredospores and teliospores on the hosts. Spermogonial and aecial stages are unknown in Japan, but reported to occur on the Oxalis plants in other countries. Disperses by scattering uredospores and overwinter by teliospores. Never grow on aritificial media.

 Spermogonial stage: Unknown
 Aecial stage: Unknown
 Uredial stage: Uredospores produced in uredinia, ellipsoid to ovoid, echinulate, light brown to chestnut- brown, 26-40 x 23-32 um, germ pores 5-8 scattered on the surface.
 Teleuto stage: Teliospores ellipsoid, chestnut-brown, (1-)2 celled, slightly constricted at the septum, 37-55 x 22-33 um, pedicels hyaline and persistence.
