 Distributed widely in Japan. Causes anthracnose and black-dot root-rot of Solanaceae plants such as potato, tomato, eggplant, pepper and husk tomato and often isolated from gramineous plants as a leaf inhabitant. Produces acervuli on the leaves and disperse by scattering conidia inside. Teleomorph unknown.

Morphology:
 Teleomorph: Unknown
 Anamorph: Acervuli with many setae, producing conidia inside. Sclerotia abundant. Conidia hyaline to pale yellow, cylindrical to fusiform, single cell, straight or slightly curved, ends abruptly tapered, 16-24 x 3-4 um. Appressoria brown, long clavate to ovate, margin lobed, 8.5-16 x 4-11.5 um.
