現在の研究内容

1998年よりアジア初の開放系高 CO₂（ FACE ）実験システムの開発に携わり、制御プログラムの開発や数値実験による性能評価を行った。さらに2002年から開放系温暖化実験手法開発のための数値実験研究を行っている。 また、上記 FACE システム開発と並行して、大気 CO₂濃度の上昇が水田生態系の水利用や熱収支に及ぼす影響を把握するため、日本と中国の FACE 圃場において微気象観測を行っている。高 CO₂濃度による水稲の水利用効率の変化や、群落微気象の変化に伴う穂の昇温や高温不稔への影響について、実験とモデルで研究を進めている。
2007年より、水田の開放系温暖化実験を実施し、水稲体内の水分配と穂蒸散の関係について研究を進めている。
