Plant Disease Control Group

We are aiming to improve the self-sufficiency rate of animal feed, as the fodder production targeted for 10 years later is expected to increase 10 times the current production (110 tons). In order to achieve this, it is essential to have multi-fertilizer cultivation with high yielding varieties. In general the disease will be occur several times in case of multi-fertilizer cultivation. For this reason, we are working on the development of disease management techniques, elucidation of occurrence aspects of the disease in the rice varieties used for animal feed. In addition, we are developing a vaccination method to target the citrus greening disease, high precision diagnostic techniques of infection trees, artificial culture method of pathogenic bacteria etc.
