現在の研究内容
近年、異常あるいは極端な気象現象が頻発する状況にあり、農業気象災害に遭遇する可能性 が高い。渦相関法を用いた圃場規模でのフラックス測定は、作物の生理生態反応と密接に関 連する蒸発散量や二酸化炭素フラックスの時間変動を、遠隔地から高精度で連続的に観測で きるので、農業気象災害の前兆の感知に利用できる。また、データ同化手法を用いてフラッ クスの観測データからモデルのパラメータを推定し、そのモデルを用いて広域の蒸発散量や 二酸化フラックスの予測ができれば、広域の気象災害防止対策にも活用できる。そこで、蒸 発散量や二酸化炭素フラックスを実時間で監視するとともに、データ同化型モデルによりフ ラックスの予測精度を向上させた監視・予報システムを開発している。
