| All the foreign scientists will be arriving in Japan at the New Tokyo International airport in Narita, which is located at 50 km to the south east of Tsukuba.
Highway bus service called Airport Liner Narita NATT'S is available at the international airport terminal. The timetable of Airport Liner is given below for your convenience. The bus tickets (A one-way ticket; 2,500yen for adults) can be purchased at the Keisei Counter on the first floor of the arrival lobby of the airport. Reservation is not required for the arrivals. Bus stops (No.15 at Terminal 1, and No.12 at Terminal 2) are located in front of the arrival floor. The participants are requested to take the nearest possible bus. The travel time is around 90 minutes from Narita to Tsukuba. The bus will stop at the Tsukuba center bus terminal located at the city center.
From Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal to Hotel Grand Shinonome, it takes five minutes on foot (the taxi fee; 600yen). See Accomodation page.
